Join Andrew Herrick and Jaren Shears for a plant walk at the Southwest Greenway and discover the abundant medicine of Spring. Students will join Andrew and Jaren on a short, easy hike into the park to look closely at what medicinal herbs are growing this season. We will discuss what medicine these plants have to offer, how you can make medicine with them, and how you can respectfully cultivate and harvest these potent plant allies.
Once you purchase a ticket, students will receive an email prior to the event detailing proper attire and necessary hiking essentials that should be brought with them. A meeting location and detailed instructions will also be included so students are confident in where to meet for the plant walk.
